SMHAF Exhibition 2026 – Reflections

The annual SMHAF Highland exhibition is now all set up and ready for viewing.

After our fantastic local exhibition in Broadford, all of the work has been sent to Inverness as part of the Highland wide Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival (SMHAF). If you are in Inverness during October, why not pop in and have a look.

Over 140 people came along to have a look at our exhibition, which was held in Blank Canvas during September. Thank you to everyone who came in, to everyone who left a comment, had a chat or just had a look around. Thank you to Love from Skye for making us feel so welcome in their pop-up area. We met lots of lovely people – both local and visitors to our area. The feedback and comments were all so positive and the students were very proud of their work.

The work of the Ragtag students, volunteers and staff will be displayed alongside other Highland charities as well as work by individuals. It is always creative, though-provoking and inspiring. It is also a way to find out about some of the other charities that support the communities across the Highland region. The main exhibition is held at Eden Court Theatre with a smaller event at the Bike Shed (23 Grant Street, Inverness). Both venues are hosting from 5th October until 28th October.
